Warm Bodies - Issac Marion//REVIEWED

Genre;Zombie,Romantic, Comedy, Y/A

A zombie who yearns for a better life ends up falling in love—with a human—in this astonishingly original debut novel. R is a zombie. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams. He doesn’t enjoy killing people; he enjoys riding escalators and listening to Frank Sinatra. He is a little different from his fellow Dead. Not just another zombie novel, Warm Bodies is funny, scary, and deeply moving.

Warm Bodies tells the story of R (zombie) & Julie who is not, who meet in um not the best situation, this book tells the story of the relationship between the characters and how R is not just a Zombie. I enjoyed R as a character and seeing him change, but i feel like the end was so fast paced and quick that the book should of being longer, the ending left me both deflated and annoyed but it has left room for the sequel to follow on (which has been announced). I never opt for zombie based novels and sadly this hasnt convinced me to pick up more.

Rating 6.5/10
I was left deflated and dissapointed with the book, but non the less i found it fairly enjoyable

  1. Warm Bodies is up next on my TBR list. I'm really looking forward to it because the movie previews are hilarious & I'm seeing the movie when it comes out. It sucks that you were disappointed! I really love zombie stories, so I hope I like this one.

  2. I really like reading good zombie novels, so this sounds like it would be right up my street. On the other hand, you aren't the first person who has said that the book sort of annoyed them. I'm not sure whether I should get it or not. What do you think? xx
