Love Rehab Author Interview & Giveaway,

For my full review click here
For anyone who has ever overdosed on love—or planned the wedding before the second date—Jo Piazza’s dazzling debut novel is a must-read

Cyber-stalking, drive-bys, drunken text messaging, creating fake email accounts—you’re gonna have to face it, you’re addicted to love.

Sophie isn’t dealing with her breakup well. Dumped by her boyfriend, Eric, for his sexting, D-cupped, young Floozy McSecretary, Sophie leaves Manhattan and lands back in her hometown, crushed and pajama-clad, blaming herself and begging her ex for a second chance.

But when her best friend, Annie, gets in trouble for driving drunk and is forced to go to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, something clicks in Sophie’s strung-out mind. Women need love rehab, she realizes, to help fix the craziness that comes along with falling for someone.

If you start it, they will come. When she opens up her home to the obsessed and lovelorn, Sophie finds a way to help women out there who have overdosed on the wrong men—and she saves herself in the process.

Love is a drug and the only things that can save us are the steps, rules, and one another. Step one: Admit you have a problem, and keep the hell away from Facebook

1. What inspired this novel?
I was a completely neurotic dater in my twenties and the only thing that helped me through it were my amazing girlfriends. I wanted to write a romantic comedy where the knight in shining armor wasn't a man, but the other women who  stand by us and pick up the pieces for us.

2. Would you follow the advice in the book yourself? I think it's great & whilst its not a self help book, i think as women we can take lessons away from this.
I think I subconsciously did follow the advice in the book. I wasn't going through any particular bad breakup when I wrote it (although trust me I had my fair share) but thinking about the steps and the rules in Love Rehab forced me to take a closer look at my relationships and my approach to love and dating. I think the great thing about the rules and the steps in Love Rehab is that they remind women that they aren't alone and that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I can say that writing this book made me take a serious moral inventory and by the time the book was finished I had actually just met a great guy who I am dating now a year later.
The really cool thing is that women have been writing me to thank me because the book has helped them. That inspired me to create a website where women can get all the tools they need to start their own Love Rehab

Find out if they need Love Rehab

And tell us their stories

My goal is to empower women to get the most out of all their relationships, romantic and otherwise. I also hope I made women laugh out loud a little.

3. Who is your favourite author?
This is so hard because I love different authors for different reasons. Judy Blume was one of the big reasons that I wanted to be a writer. I was obsessed with everything she wrote when I was a kid.
My favorite high school reading list book is The Great Gatsby. I think it could have been even better reimagined as a romantic comedy.
I love Jennifer Weiner because we had a similar career arc. She was also a newspaper reporter and she lives in Philadelphia which is where I grew up.
