Losing It - Cora Carmack

Genre; New Adult/Smut
Release date; Oct 2012
Synopsis

Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, Bliss Edwards decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible - a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier

Review
This was a book that has done the rounds lately, i found it in all fairness on a taboo list, and well, i loved gabriels inferno and thought this sounded oh so slightly similiar, The premise sounded good, and not too weird for been taboo, but more- oh that could actually happen. So, we open with Bliss been dragged out by her friend to get laid and lose her v card where she bumps into Garrick. What follows is an attempt at getting laid, but in Bliss style she freaks out, invents a cat and leaves Garrick in her flat. Role round the following morning and first of class...and what happens....Yep. This is a slow burner book, very similiar to Gabriels inferno, and the pace that takes, there is no instalove and sex, but more a slowly developed and more true to life relationship. I find the characters really likeable, Bliss is nervous, stressy, crazy and do you know what? It just works, she grew on me straight away. Garrick is cute, and sometimes i forget he is a tutor, as he just seems bland, but as we learn more about him, we learn he is just confused about the emotions he is going through. I flew through this and when i learnt book 2 wasnt even about this characters i was less than happy, but there is 1.5 which rounds up the story and we even get to see some of it from Garricks view!

Rating; 8/10
