Lies Lies Lies - Adele Parks || Blog Tour

Daisy and Simon's marriage is great, isn't it. After years together, the arrival of longed-for daughter Millie sealed everything in place. A happy little family of three. And so what if Simon drinks a bit too much sometimes - Daisy's used to it, she knows he's letting off steam. Until one night at a party things spiral horribly out of control. And that happy little family of three will never be the same again.

Review
Adele Parks has always been one of my go to authors, she was another one of the first authors I discovered when i started to read adult books, she used to do glamours covers with shoes and kisses on the front and i felt so grown up buying them, ever since then i have always picked up her books so to be able to review this for HQ is a major privilege (even if i got the date wrong *cringe*)

Daisy & Simons marriage is great isnt it? They are finally a family after the miracle birth of their longed for daughter - Millie. However, that isnt enough for Simon, imagine if she had a sibling - they did it before, surely another miracle can happen.

When he puts plans into action to see if this is viable however - what he learns brings his whole world crashing down around him. Simon - has always liked a drink but now its getting out of control and all Daisy can do is stand by and watch. Just as things come to a blow and their world couldnt get any worse, it does.

This book is multi layered, with deep characters and almost several story lines that bring the worlds together. When you think surely this is it? Then Adele hits you with another major plot twist, you just about recover and another one comes along. It really does focus on Lies Lies Lies.

It parts it is creepy, it is tense, it is gripping and heart wrenching. Daisy always only had Millies best interests at heart at all times, but then Simon apparently did too - but do actions speak louder than words? I loved unravelling this narrative and trying to understand the characters, their motives and their actions. This was brilliant, whilst alot of "thrillers" are deep dark and twisted, this was intense, in depth and like i said continued a brilliant mix of story lines that all impacted the characters.

This is one you need to pick up!
