Ice Creams at Emerald Cove - Holly Martin || Blog tour

Escape to the Cornish coast this spring with a trip to the beautiful Emerald Cove, where the sea sparkles in the sunshine, the sand glitters like gold, and true love is in the air. From the bestselling author of Sunrise over Sapphire Bay comes this gorgeously romantic and uplifting tale.

Skye Philips and Jesse Hamilton have a complicated relationship. They’ve been neighbours, best friends and even briefly married. But ever since Skye returned to the beautiful shores of Jewel Island to help her sisters Aria and Clover run their family hotel, she doesn’t know where she stands with Jesse.

When they’re together the chemistry between them sizzles, but with Jesse living in Canada and Skye on the Cornish island she calls home, they’ve kept things casual. Till now…

Jesse is coming to Jewel Island for the annual Pudding Parade and Skye knows this is her chance to tell him how she really feels. But putting her heart on the line isn’t easy when it’s been broken in the past. Will Jesse return her love? Or will she lose him for good?

Everything she's ever wanted can be hers if she's willing to take the chance, but is Skye brave enough to risk her heart once again?'

Set sail to the Cornish coast where sunshine, laughter and romance awaits. This stunning love story is guaranteed to steal your heart this summer; it’s the perfect read for fans of Sarah Morgan, Veronica Henry and Jill Mansell.

I was gifted my copy for the blog tour but this is my honest review. I am a big fan of Holly Martin and the Jewel Island series is by far my fave of hers and i have eagerly been awaiting Skyes story and to discover more about her.

Skye and Jesse have a weird relationship, friends, married, friends with benefits but Skye really wants more than that, ever since the fake marriage she fell head over heels for Jesse but she moved back to help her family and it makes the whole situation much more complicated. Whilst Skye now has everything she wants in her dessert parlour, Cones at the Cove - she doesn't have the family life she left behind (even if it was fake)

They have always had such a casual relationship but when Skye phones Jesse about recreating the annual pudding parade, the tension between them has changed somewhat and Skye realises she can't go on like this, one way or the other.

I simply loved this book, this was really focused on love and relationships and honest. It really focused on Skye and Jesse and his daughter Bea. It took the time to discover how they all felt about each other and the situation they are in. Not only that, if you have a sweet tooth you are going to be craving some new and wonderful ice cream flavours. In the previous books we only ever stopped by for a quick trip to Cones at the Cove but this time we really discovered it.

As with all Hollys read, it was delightful, quick and sweet but it also tackled some heavier issues but i really appreciated the way it was handled and addressed. It was done in a delicate and sensitive way and Holly really has a way that she writes emotions that are raw, open and honest. I think this was by far my fave of the series!
