Current Reads

So what a surprise, it has been a while....again *eyeroll emoji* but alas, i am back - i am here and what better way to reintroduce myself to everyone who has forgotten me than with a current reads. I haven't been reading all too much, but the last few days ive been watching reading vlogs and it kind of motivated me to get stuck back in. I mean, i spend a fair bit of time just scrolling online so in that time, ive been picking up books instead.

So on kindle first up.

A deserted train station: A man waits. A woman watches.

Chris is ready to join his wife. He’s planned this moment for nearly a year. The date. The time. The train. But he hadn’t factored in Sarah.

So when Sarah walks on to the platform and sees a man swaying at the edge she assumes he’s just had too much to drink. What she doesn’t expect is to stop a suicide. As Sarah becomes obsessed with discovering the secrets that Chris is clearly hiding, he becomes obsessed with stopping her, protecting her.

But there are some secrets that are meant to stay buried forever…

Darren O'Sullivan came reccomended to me on twitter when i put a shout out for a new thriller, whilst it wasn't this book, I knew his name rang a bell and found this on my kindle from netgalley many moons ago so i am currently about 45% of the way through and i am really intrigued as to where this is going to go. It's felt like a slow starter but has kept me interested and now i find myself reaching for this every spare minute i have.

& Second up;

When Rachel wakes up in a strange room, the morning after a neighbour’s party, she has no memory of what happened the night before. Why did her husband leave her alone at the party? Did they row? Why are Rachel’s arms so bruised? And why are her neighbours and friends so vague about what really happened?

Little by little, Rachel pieces together the devastating events that took place in a friend’s house, at a party where she should have been safe. Everyone remembers what happened that night differently, and everyone has something to hide. But someone knows the truth about what happened to Rachel. And she’s determined to find them.

Having read Lisa Hall previously when this arrived on my doorstep i knew it was one i would read sooner rather than later. As i have mentioned before i usually opt for a paperback as my "bath" book so when i was looking for something new this was my first choice. So far i have read 80 pages and i am starting to piece things together slowly (i think - i am usually really wrong) but this is a gripping read and i am very ready to see the outcome of this one.

So that is what i am currently reading, whats everyone else delving into right now?!
