Katies Cornish Kitchen - Rosie Chambers

After the heartbreak of being jilted by her fiancé, Katie Campbell has been mending her broken heart in Bali. She has local restaurant owner and new friend Agatha to thank for providing a listening ear in her moment of need. When Katie confides she’s worried about going back to what’s left of her life in London, Agatha has just the opportunity for Katie – to manage her old café in the beautiful, picturesque village of Perrinby in Cornwall.

Although reopening the café and making it profitable won’t be easy, Katie is determined to make the most of her fresh start. She quickly makes new friends in florist Jay, waitress Talia and handsome neighbour Oscar, and focuses on making the café a welcoming place for the community – from hosting floristry workshops to pizza-making nights and even the local knit-and-natter group. But, with the café under threat from the local property developers circulating just as she’s starting to grow closer to Oscar and finally feeling at home, can Katie find the recipe to make her Cornish Kitchen a success?

Escape to Cornwall in this heartwarming romance – perfect for fans of Julie Caplin, Phillipa Ashley and Debbie Johnson Readers LOVE Rosie Chambers

After a lot of blog tour reading and flying through a book day i had hit a massive massive reading slump, didn't want to read and couldn't find anything to read but i was also desperate to read. I picked up a few books but nothing hit the spot and then i remembered i had the arc of Katie's Cornish Kitchen.

I love a Cornish kitchen book everytime and can we just admire how beautiful the cover is. Its just something else. Its a beauty. The book itself is just what i needed right now. Delightful, full of glorious cake, lots of tea and fun events. Throw in a love interest and a bit of old heartache and you have the perfect read for me.

Katie fled her home after loosing her job and her fiance ditching her and spending all their wedding savings. Whilst in Bali she meets Agatha, the pair form a close bon and Agatha soon offers Katie the chance of a lifetime. Her cafe in Cornwall needs a refresh and it has 3 months of bills all pre paid so all Katie has to do is set about managing it. Easy enough, but turning a profit is proving harder than she thought but with the help of the community and a bunch of after hours events, the dream is seeming ever closer but all that could be pulled away with the ever visiting property developers.

I simply loved this, it had just the right amount of drama but plenty of emotion. My heart went out to Katie so much who was trying to do the right thing by everyone around her. She was a kind and friendly soul who deserved all the luck in the world. This was a light hearted read that felt good for the soul and i so desperately wanted to visit Katies Cornish Kitchen and the bit of eye candy next door wasnt a bad thing either. Rosie created relationships between the characters that you were invested in. Not only romantic ones but friendship ones too and they were really the heart of this book.

This is out now if you want to get a copy here
