"A
witty, warm-hearted romp through the lives and loves of three friends –
with a cool retro vibe, and a sense of fun that will never go out of
fashion." – Debbie Johnson, author of the best-selling ‘Cold Feet At
Christmas’.
Meet The Vintage Cinema Club….
Izzy
is a wow at making unwanted things pretty, but with three brothers and
her shabby chic furniture business to run she doesn’t have time to date.
Could a fabulous French proposal change her mind?
Single
mum Luce’s vintage bridal dresses are exquisite, but there’s no way
she’s ever going to wear one or walk down the aisle for that matter.
She’s a strictly no romance, one night kind of woman – or so she thinks…
Dida
seems to have it all – a chocolate and banana cake recipe to die for,
lovely kids (most of the time!) and a great lifestyle. But what good is a
fabulous home, when your marriage has more cracks than a pavlova and
your husband is having it off with half of Lithuania?
Three
retro fabulous friends, in love with all things vintage, run their
dream business from the faded grandeur of a rescued cinema. When that
dream comes under threat, they’ll do whatever it takes to save it.
Fans of Lucy Diamond, Michele Gorman and Milly Johnson are going to love this heartfelt, funny story.
But Poppy Carmichael's spirits aren't lifted by the pretty West Country spring. Inheriting her grandmother's flower shop has forced her to return to Cornwall, a place that holds too many memories.
Poppy is determined to do her best for the sake of her adored grandmother, but she struggles with the responsibility of the more-shabby-than-chic shop. And with the added complication of Jake, the gruff but gorgeous local flower grower, Poppy is very tempted to run away...
The pretty little town has a few surprises in store for Poppy. With new friends to help her and romance blooming, it's time for Poppy to open her heart to St Felix and to the special magic of a little flower shop by the sea!

I’m going to define the essence of this
sprawling place as best I can. I’m going to start here, in this village,
and radiate out like a ripple in a pond. I don’t want to go to the
obvious places, either; I want to be like a bus driver on my first
morning on the job, getting gloriously lost, turning up where I
shouldn’t. I’m going to confirm or deny the clichés, holding them up to
see where the light gets in. Yorkshire people are tight. Yorkshire
people are arrogant. Yorkshire people eat a Yorkshire pudding before
every meal. Yorkshire people solder a t’ before every word they use...
If there were such a thing as a professional Yorkshireman, Ian McMillan would be it. He’s regularly consulted as a home-grown expert, and southerners comment archly on his ‘fruity Yorkshire brogue’. But he has been keeping a secret. His dad was from Lanarkshire, Scotland, making him, as he puts it, only ‘half tyke’. So Ian is worried; is he Yorkshire enough?
To try to understand what this means Ian embarks on a journey around the county, starting in the village has lived in his entire life. With contributions from the Cudworth Probus Club, a kazoo playing train guard, Mad Geoff the barber and four Saddleworth council workers looking for a mattress, Ian tries to discover what lies at the heart of Britain’s most distinct county and its people, as well as finding out whether the Yorkshire Pudding is worthy of becoming a UNESCO Intangible Heritage Site, if Harrogate is really, really, in Yorkshire and, of course, who knocks up the knocker up?
